OUR HISTORY
• On August 11st, 1952 CAIRU`s history started, founded by Mr. mocoquense
Geraldo Marra named "Cairu Sawmill and Mechanics".
• For 21 years, it was on Visconde de Cairu street, in Vila das Merces
neighborhood (Sao Paulo), that Cairu`s structure and performance was
developed.
• It did not took long time to become known in the cyclistic industry
because of Cairu
`s products quality.
• On 1972, Cairu`s fouder transferred "Cairu Sawmill and Mechanics"
to his homeland, Mococa (Sao Paulo).
• Since 1983 to 1999 it was part of Caloi`s Group, a brand really recognized
in the national domestic market.
• Recently, in August 1999, Cairu was not part of Caloi`s Group anymore,
having total independence in its activities and Mr. Bruno Anthony Caloi
became its main partner.
• The "CAIRU" brand is already considered as tradition in
the market and following the growth trend, in 1999, began to product
and sell an important product; "Selim", in addition to common
products, wheel hub, central movement, direction and pedals movement.
• Today it has 200 employees and still generates about 1.000 indirect
jobs.
